I worked at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great place to work. Management cares about you and you feel like you are a well respected member of the team. My time here was great but it was only temporary for me as I had bigger careers goals. I would recommend Lowe's to anyone interested in the home improvement industry.

Cons

Don't have much of anything negative to say of this company.

Advice to Management

Continue the great work.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, very good work skills, first pick at reduced or clearance items, very clean .

    Cons

The shifts we worked were not well planed out. At times you would close and then open the following morning. Really couldn't plan for home events, doctors, and dentist appointments.with the swing shifts. Too much micromanaging , these employees felt like they were under a microscope all the time. Upper management would not allow the managers to associate with the employees in or outside of work .i felt that was detrimental to the employees how else do you really get to know someone.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging , make shifts better so employees don't miss out with their Family's and their Family events. They really need to respect the employee's this will motivate them. You get more with sugar, than with vinegar! Stop being condescending to your employees it hurts then and cause then to not want to work. Take a good look at how Wegmans treat their employee's and at the success rate they have...
