    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive benefits package as far as variety and pricing. Investment in technology was a win. Employee self service portals including timekeeping were beneficial.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations by upper management, they need to spend more time actually in the store and less time in their ivory towers. Inconsistent accountability.

I have been working at Lowe's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Few. Coworkers are somewhat friendly but very judgmental. Either you fit in or you don't. A lot of caddy attitude from the women.

    Cons

Many. Scheduling is a joke. You get "pat" answers and a lot of "lip service" but no logical answer to why some staff gets preferred hours and others don't. Long hours, ridiculous breaks and lunch schedules. Many 6, 7, 8 day work weeks. No fatigue mats where you need them most. Head cashiers all have different ways to do things for same job.

    Advice to Management

What management? They say there is an open door policy but its a joke. More "pat" answers and "lip service". Corporate should send there managers back to the front lines for a couple of months...then things might change.
