I have been working at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule whether you are full time or part time. Fair starting wage for inexperienced workers/young people. They promote from within, but this could take years.

    Cons

Some ASMs are too concerned about earning their bonuses and will overwork their employees. Managers panic when upper management plans to visit location. Low pay raises.

    Advice to Management

Recognize and reward employees exceeding expectations. Do not block employees from seeing greater opportunities at another location.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Health insurance, paid vacation. There's really nothing more I have to say here.

    Cons

Poor staffing, have fun covering every other department in your area when the Store Managers and district managers don't give the OK to hire additional help where they need it. In addition to that enjoy having your hours trimmed anytime your scheduled to close and they kick you out 45 minutes before your shift is supposed to end.

There is almost no work/life balance here with the rotating schedules, and GOOD LUCK actually using your vacation time when you want to use it.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people, more people to sell stuff means better sales, apparently this is impossible for anyone to understand.
