I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers are fun and helpful. Learn a lot of interesting construction and home improvement information

    Cons

The Store Managers rule like bullies and treat employees like they are disposable. Great if you like threats and conflicting direction from battling egos. Need more diversity in management .

    Advice to Management

Appoint Managers that will promote your values and truly develop your employees. An be more reactive when they don't

I have been working at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are able to work around your school schedule.

    Cons

A lot can be demanded with no incentive to get things done. Lowe's is so focused on customer service and sales that they lose appreciation for their employees. You will be told to sell while also keeping the department in shape.
Management is good for the most part. Where I work the store manager is a pain, but assistant store managers are helpful for the most part they care.
Customers are the same as any other retail establishment. You will deal with some great customers and some really bad customers.
Lowe’s offers little to no training for new employees or current employees. If your coworkers are nice and knowledgeable you may learn about your department within a few weeks.
