I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent overall compensation, and it can be a fun place to work. Lowe's is definitely trying to improve itself and move towards technology and the future of retail, wherever that ends up.

    Cons

It seems like there is a reorg in IT and/or the business every six months. The VP's keep turning around with the changes and the processes keep changing as well. You never know which process to follow and who the current decision maker is.

    Advice to Management

I'm glad Niblock is trying to make changes so Lowe's doesn't go the way of big box stores like Circuit City, KMart, Linens 'n Things, or Sears soon. Unfortunately, his direct reports are either moving too often or too slowly. Some things are changing so often it's preventing improvements, and in other places, it's taking some portions of the org over a year since the reorg announcement to figure out their new structure. Let's smooth out both ends of that spectrum to really get things moving on the right path.
