I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Decent pay, tuition reimbursement plan, good benefits. The people you work with are generally nice and fun to be around.

Cons

horrible hours and schedules, a lot of manual labor depending on the department. There are those horrible customers that come in and believe that they are entitled to everything.

Advice to Management

There should be training. There should be set shifts for full time, fills in for part times.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

tons of opportunitys to advance.Nice clean stores, good wage structure. To many very young asm s that are probably great dept mgrs, but get promoted to asm and have no training in human resourses, and how to talk to fellow associates.Alot of times they talk down to associates due to there lack of training .

    Cons

Dealing with very cocky young ASM S.They need to be trained before being promoted how to talk to associates. Also they back stab each other behind each others backs to CSA s and Dept heads they set very bad leads and create negative attitudes on sales floor.

    Advice to Management

You need more middle aged and older ASMS to run the stores, way to many 22-30 year old asms that talk down to good full time associates on the sales floor.

    I worked at Lowe's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Every day at work is different. If you get bored by routine - this is a great job for you. This job is also rewarding in that you are constantly helping customers accomplish their goals or finish their projects.

    Cons

Management can be somewhat distant, as they are spread over a very large store. Being a large company, some policies set by management may seem unnecessary or silly but you will still be expected to abide by them. A couple examples are assigned routes to walk within your department on weekends, or changing end cap displays.
