Pros

You can work the hours you want for how long you need. You can decide to go offline after you make an exact dollar amount or do so when you feel the time is right. This is also great work if you are a people person because I have had great conversations with people that I would have never had the chance to in other job positions or walks of life. You will make money as long as you do not make a habit of declining ride requests, and are willing to drive anywhere!

Cons

The hourly pay is not quite what it seems until to take time to factor in: 1. The amount of hours you were online (this includes both giving rides and waiting for rides) 2. The hours you choose to work ( You can make money anytime of the day but Weekday rush hours can be good or bad, and Friday & Saturday day and nights are often better) 3. The wear and tear on your car (You are driving your car. The more miles you put on any car brings with it the importance of upkeep. The easily identifiable things are oil changes, tire rotations, tire replacements, break jobs, and car washes) 4) No matter how great of a driver you are ACCIDENTS HAPPEN! (If you rely on income from this job you must realize that the money immediately stops coming in if you get into a wreck that requires a lot of work to get you back on the road. Then you will have to rent a car to continue working while your car is in the shop. Regardless if the accident was your fault or not, this is extra money coming out of your pocket for a while. You can get it back from the other driver's insurance if it was their fault, but it is still a hassle. If it was your fault then you are still temporarily out of a car and your insurance has to pay for the accident and you insurance rate go up!
