I worked at Lytx full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great pay, "no agendas allowed" team atmosphere, F500 caliber executives, extraordinary support through all departments, advancement for those who excel.

Cons

Communication and collaboration, taken to extremes, can sometimes lead to inefficiency and confusion/disorientation of employees. So many processes requiring so many are kept in the loop.

Advice to Management

Streamline/simplify the departmental roles and communication lines so as to empower individuals to act more quickly. Other than that, I look forward to buying your stock when you go public.

    Pros

    Paycheck, nice building, friendly employees

    Cons

    Employees are bogged down with manual processes so they cannot focus on quality or innovation. Outdated technology and poor communication between departments. Marketing and sales organization with no investment in engineering or operations. Company spends millions on logos and marketing paraphernalia and zero on customer and employee training. Sales is selling products that don't exist and pressuring operations to deliver. Executives are either removed from reality or are preparing the company for sale. Apply if you want to do a operational analysis on inefficient management.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in engineering, training, and operations.
