Pros

Mission driven company that makes your work feel important. People are truly nice and go out of their way to help you. A lot of people have been here for more than 5 years which speaks to the great company culture and generous benefits.

Cons

They should be more open to nuclear power which is GHG free!

Pros

- great benefits - if you are well-liked, you can succeed - most coworkers are nice and inspiring - Interesting work if you're on the right team - mission-driven

Cons

- the process for requesting accommodations for my disability was demeaning, unprofessional, cumbersome, and catered to the needs of my boss rather than me. - Technical merits are not as highly valued as being well-liked by leadership -MCE relies on its reputation as the first CCA in the state, not the best. Leadership is very risk-averse, which often feels bureaucratic when simple solutions aren’t pursued. - MCE's Marin roots keep the agency from serving its other three counties in a way that would serve them best - Very hierarchical management structure, but claims to be egalitarian. Leadership often refers to the agency as a "family" - I observed nepotism through the prioritization of current coworkers' family and friends over fully merit-based evaluations for hiring - The remote work culture leaves for little support or connection. There were double standards for in-office expectations. MCE only seem to keep the remote policy because C-Suite and Leadership live far away from the offices
