    No opinion of CEO

I worked at MISO full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I was one of the very early employees and participated during the first operational roll out and the start of the first market. The Midwest ISO is a state of the art company when it comes to managing the Bulk Electric System. Some of the best and brightest operators and engineers in the industry are at MISO. The work was very satisfying - you definitely made a difference.

    Cons

The Midwest ISO can be a very intense place of employment and very political due to the stakeholder process. All of the RTO's are in competition to attract and retain new utility members and this tends to filter down.

I worked at MISO as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

MISO offers any potential employee the ability to gain useful team skills. The best thing about MISO is the focus in which they support their workforce. With what they offer, it's hard not to feel excited about one's role.

    Cons

Promoting from within has bed an issue.

    Advice to Management

    Be more transparent
