Pros

MWW is a top ten public relations firm. It is known in the communications and public relations community. If you are interested in working in public affairs, the Los Angeles office is a good location. It is a mid-sized firm, which is good for someone starting in PR. HR is usually nice and helpful. Compensation and benefits are okay and the employee morale is okay too (nothing to brag about!). They are respectful toward your personal life and if time off is needed, they are usually very understandable, which is good. The office culture is LA can be political at times.

Cons

The culture is very political.

Advice to Management

There should be more of a relationship between senior managment and entry level positions.

I worked at MWWPR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great colleagues, some great clients, great office location

    Cons

    > Senior management hinders almost everything you do -- client deadlines and media opportunities missed because managers can't take 10 minutes to review materials (and when they do, they don't even bother editing anything).
    > It's evident that the only offices that matter to the executives are NYC/LA, and their clients. It's pathetic to have colleagues from other offices visit yours and comment on how "sad" it is.
    > You have to put up a really good fight for a raise/promotion (see above).
    > Unlimited PTO is nice, but only if you don't feel guilty for taking any time off.
    > Have to suffer unnecessary stress because team leaders put in place unrealistic goals. Even when those are met, it's still "not good enough."

    Advice to Management

Take better care of your junior level employees, and actually listen to them when they go to HR with their problems. Promote equality (in terms of opportunities and physical work environment) across all offices, and don't just focus on NYC/LA.
