I have been working at Macmillan Cancer Support full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The journey home and the free tea and coffee

    Cons

Waste of donations on management positions, partnerships with any organisation that will donate money including unethical ones. Delusional people who think they are world leaders when all they are is a UK charity

    Advice to Management

Stop getting your mates to put good reviews on here.

I worked at Macmillan Cancer Support full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity at one of the UK’s largest charities, great for experience, loads of benefits and well paid. Flexible working available.

    Cons

Very sales driven in terms of fundraising and you are long way from the services on the ground. They are running multiple change programmes that are moving very slowly which is frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Senior Management need to take ownership of the organisational strategy and what it needs to achieve. That will help drive the organisational objectives and change programmes rather than multiple change programmes happening separately and causing mayhem. Strategy should also drive growth not relentless pursuit of income.
