    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

There can be very nice customers.
    Some sales are decent.
My dept. manager was very kind.

    Cons

The point system is ridiculous and unfair to genuine hard workers like myself. I was never late or missed a day until my baby and I got sick in August..and had to go to the ER. That took off a few points. The weekend of "Hurricane Irene" they took off 2 points for that..which isn't fair. I do no drive and transportation was shut down. I was late once in a while (because of public transportation)

Anyways I understand it's a business and they have their policies, but I was always a hard worker..customers never had a problem with me, I did more than most associates there...

Macys is also full of crap with their MAGIC selling...Seriously...why are they giving training classes on selling.. Associates make a little above minimum wage and so much is expected. There is too much emphasis on numbers, and not enough on other areas such as the store appearance, and genuine "bonding" with customers.

Managers from other departments would take you and use you to help out with their departments...and then after that they act like they don't even know you...

It's a very competitive environment for sales and numbers..it's not for everyone. Very negative place.

    Advice to Management

Be more genuine. Get a heart. Understand that we are more than just numbers, and our lives don't revolve around you. There is more to the store than just sales goals, and credit accounts...
