Pros

The associates are nice and fun to work with and the quality of the merchandise is above average. There is an extra employee discount and benefits are offered.

Cons

Sales goals are made and everyone tries to get to the register so they can make their goal. Not a culture of "team player" but one of competition and rewards to those who can make customers sign up for credit cards.

Advice to Management

There should be a way that we are encouraged to work as a team not against each other. The salary should be higher for a higher quality employee.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    -Opportunity to learn retail
-20% discount (although that is low in comparison to other retailers)

    Cons

-Store level management treats lower level mgrs and sales employees terribly
-Mgrs are encouraged/expected to work on days off
    -Not open to ideas
    -High, High pressure environment
    -Micro-managing on all levels
-No respect for family time or time away from work
-Can't focus on associates development due to upper level mgrs nagging to 'Clean up the floor' all day, every day
-Upper Mgt puts you down/talks down to lower mgrs and employees
-Minimal praise, if any given when a job is well done.
    -Minimal communication between channels/within store

    Advice to Management

-Company preaches "Take care of your employees and they will take care of you." Perhaps you should let your store level mgt know that that means taking care and respecting mgrs within their store as well.
