    I worked at Macy's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Pleasant clients, wonderful Estee Lauder corporate advisers, enjoyable atmosphere, fun events. The best part of this position was building relationships with clients.

    Cons

    Very poor management. There was constant conflicting information distributed by different managers, and most led with a negative performance-driven leadership style.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees as worth investing in instead of as children needing babysitting. It will greatly improve morale and performance.

    Not enough people work here. Pay is low.

    Raise the starting pay. Schedule more than 2 associates per department. Try harder to keep the good employees who leave for more money/hours.
