I worked at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Most everyone works well together.

Cons

Stress of working alone most of the time.

Advice to Management

Too much pressure on agents to prosecute shoplifters when they are working alone and expected to perform other duties at the same time. They need to look at the big picture.

I have been working at Macy's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the stress comes from the workload and lack of vision more than from the people

    Cons

very stressful work environment. Way too much work to do for the little bit of money that they pay you. Management has such a high vision that the work never gets done. They don't seem to be able to connect the dots between the vision of the task. And get jealous when somebody offers another view only willing to promote people from there EDP program, those people they hire directly out of college with a new program

    Advice to Management

be willing to promote the people in your midst that have the experience, qualifications, and ability. Gray hair doesn't mean we're washed out. It means we have wisdom to offer
