    Pros

great cctv surveillance system and worked with some great coworkers. the managers let you do your own thing without getting into your face.

    Cons

when push came to shove and you need the support of your managers, they usually did not have your back. they also was not very much upward mobility within the company

I have been working at Macy's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity for promotion, adequate compensation, wonderful selling philosophy (customers at the center of everything), great focus on development of talent.

    Cons

Insane expectations for hours worked in a week for salaried managers. Often work more than 40 hours per week, and often 6 days a week. No compensation offered for that.

    Advice to Management

At the store level, listen to your HR managers. Do not over schedule your salaried sales managers; we will burn out and be unproductive. We will give you everything, if you give us some balance.
