    I worked at Macy's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Locations, Great Atmosphere, Great Clothing and Employee Discounts, Paid Weekly

    Cons

Co-workers can be a little too bossy and competitive, Not too many advancement opportunities, Hours seem to fluctuate at any moment, Anyone can be fired or let go for anything at any moment, no benefits if not full time

    Advice to Management

Be more hands-on and helping. Also hire people that are more better prepared for what they're doing.

    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pros are very good IT system for training and information. Very customer focused. Upper management very friendly in my district.

    Cons

Scheduling system has alot of kinks. Workload can be excessive. Each store has a tone set by the store manager. It can be very open and team oriented or it can be closed and difficult depending on who is in charge.

    Advice to Management

Allocate some payroll for tasks as well as sales. Scrutinize your store managers and don't be so slow to hold them accountable. Particularly when you have a high turnover rate in the building.
