    I worked at Macy's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice environment, clean, and a line of clothing that is good quality. For the clothes buyer, Macy's sales and discounts provide considerable savings.

    Cons

Macy's still practice the vertical hierarchy in management style. The vertical hierarchy style has been replaced by a more horizontal style of management in most organizations. These organizations depend more on team orientation than absolute rule.

    Advice to Management

Come out of the dark ages of management. It will benefit the company by retaining a valuable and trained workforce.
