Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Maersk Oil full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

First of all the main office for all corporate activity as well as all Danish North Sea activity is located in Copenhagen. From a life/work point of view working in the heart of Copenhagen with easy access to pretty much everything is a huge plus.
You have the full range of the petrophysical discipline presented here, from heavy modelling to operational work to core analysis work.
Also you are given, at least in most units, almost full autonomy as long as you reach your deadlines.

Cons

From a local point of view the pay is quite a bit lower than average indutry salaries and expat posistions are quite limited.
Unfortunatly management has imbraced, fully with no sorting, the PMP and everything that encompasses, meaning work is slowing down quite a bit.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Maersk Oil full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Excellent benefits
    - Friendly culture
    - Diverse group of individuals
    - Ability to move around and grow as a member of the support staff

    Cons

    - HR didn't listen until it was too late, and then realized their mistakes
    - Mismanaged and lots of misinformation floating constantly
    - Well, the office is closing....

    Advice to Management

You could have listened to people when they spoke up, but chose to ignore it. If you come back to Houston, make sure your HR department is more focused on listening to the team rather then trying to solve issues after they leave and during their exit interviews.
