Pros

Great work/life balance. Always seems like a small company even though it is continuing to grow. There is still a good culture that promotes a family atmosphere. Diverse workforce that allows you to meet people from many different cultures and disciplines. They allow you to further your career with movement within the company without holding you to just one position.

Cons

Growing fast so it can be confusing. There are still no direct career paths and clear ways to advance your career. Too much red tape with typically easy processes. There is no clear management style that is taught throughout the company so project management is not consistent among projects.

Advice to Management

Keep growing the company while maintaining a good sense of culture

    If you need a job take it. The company is like any other large company so therefore benefits and everything else is standard.

    Staffing company to the government! ManTech loves to claim that they offers solutions, but at the end of the day the company just loves to put bodies in chairs.

    Also be aware that company reorganizations and turnover can hurt your career chances.

    ManTech is subject to anything the government client wants and desires. Your career is based on the length of your government contract. ManTech doesn't know how to maintain top talent.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to value the hard work that talented individuals put in as your representatives and to better filter the duds.

    Pros

    Mantech SRS has a very skilled workforce and even more talented senior leaders. As a government contractor they are loyal to there employees and ofter make an effort to reposition individuals that are no longer on a contract.

    Cons

    401K Matching is only 4% in comparison to my current company which matches 10%. My experience with the health care provided was that most of the time it was a battle to have them pay a bill, resulting in a lot of lost time. Bonuses were promised when I signed on with the company, however the amount you received was at the discretion of the VP.

    Advice to Management

    Provide bonuses to all of your employees regardless of the number of months they have been with the company this will go a long way in making new employees feel as though they are part of the team and that their contributions count. Employee bonuses should accompany any formal recognition by a customer, even if it is only a small amount.
