I have been working at Mandli Communications full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

They treat everyone like family and do briefings on what’s going on in the company, to keep you informed. You never feel like a number here and the owner has a open door to anyone that would like to talk to him. He is willing to help anyone find a way to reach there goals. There always room to advance if you a motivated person with good work ethic.

    Cons

You need to be flexible, this company is changing a lot because they stay out in front of the leading edge of technology.

I have been working at Mandli Communications full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Innovative company that is moving in a positive direction. Mandli Communications in conjunction with their team of enthusiastic employees, is making a difference in data collection on so many levels.

    Cons

It would be nice if the benefit package started on day one of employment, but the overall, Health and Dental Insurance packages are top notch. 100% company paid.

I have been working at Mandli Communications full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Very independent while out in the field with no micromanagement. They really trust you as long as you can deliver on their reasonable expectations. -Reasonable, friendly, down to earth management who make an effort to seem like they consider your quality of life. -Lovely not notch support and scheduling team in the office who help when you're working in the field. -Generally a lot of opportunities for some adventure and travel. -Working a lot of guaranteed overtime with all living expenses paid for allows for easy savings. -They send you to some interesting locations and have you do some interesting things with the equipment. -Easy to rack up a lot of hotel rewards points and save the majority of your per diem.

    Cons

-You learn practically nothing relevant to the GIS field despite their attempts to market it as an entry level GIS / geospatial position. It is more closely related to a trucking profession and unskilled data entry. -Unsafe working conditions from being told to drive vehicles which are in need of critical maintenance and have permanent check engine lights and severely shaking engines. I was stuck in vans leaking exhaust emissions into the vehicle I was sitting in all day, air conditioning frequently breaks so you become unsafely hot with the computer equipment running in the back. Computer equipment is bolted down in front of car airbags. Tired/alcoholic co-workers who have to drive for 12 hours at a time with you in the vehicle. They do not fully emphasize the danger of the lasers on the vehicle to your eyes. Stuck with coworkers who receive practically no real relevant driving training who are then tasked with operating a very large, easy-tilt van with metal sticking out of it at odd angles. -You have to share a hotel room with a coworker for months on end and spend all day with them in the car as well. This can quickly be draining as they do not seem to have very high hiring standards, so the odds are high you may be stuck with somebody less than desirable, if not your worst nightmare of a person (or they might end up being really cool who knows). -They have a very high turnover rate due to them paying about as much as somebody at Chipotle makes to wrap your burrito, despite requiring a bachelors degree, and you having to live with the stress of living on the road in the cheapest hotels you can find for months on end. It is a generally very unhealthy position where you will be sitting 12 hours a day followed by three fast food meals a day. They seem comfortable with this high turn over and would rather find new people than pay for the significant chances necessary.
