Pros

Marathon was a great internship experience. I learned a lot about accounting and the industry.

Cons

There wasn't a lot of opportunity to get a full-time job if your aren't flexible in your location.

Advice to Management

Great job, but work on hiring your interns.

I have been working at Marathon Petroleum as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, great people to work with and in a team environment. This company really cares about it's employees. Paid classes in your area of expertise to further your knowledge. One team on goal.

    Cons

Not much really. The biggest is that they only hire contractors and interns. And more interns than anything. Very difficult to get hired. As a contractor you never know if you will ever be hired.

    Advice to Management

Work closer with the contractors. Most of them want to be hired and don't feel that management gives them a fair shake.
