I worked at Marcus & Millichap full-time (More than a year)

Pros

They have a good training program in which you learn how to underwrite commercial income properties. The company also teaches sales skills.

Cons

They hire a great deal of agents and all the agents call the same prospects who get tired of the phone calls. The company has a high attrition rate.

Advice to Management

Give the agents certain territories so the brand name isn't diluted. Pay more attention to existing agents than simply hiring more.

I have been working at Marcus & Millichap full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is 1099. A national platform for selling single tenant assets.

    Cons

Everyone is 1099. The proprietary evaluation software is very antiquated and buggy. The IT department is really a tent in the desert somewhere. It is hard to keep senior multi-family brokers in the company when competitors offer much better splits and market shares.

    Advice to Management

Please update the antiquated company software. Why reinvent the wheel? There is plenty of CRM Software available for proposals and evaluations.
