    Pros

You can learn about real estate

    Cons

Bad culture, horrible place to work for

    Advice to Management

Bad culture, no respect if you are hired by brokers as their assistants. Sales people have no salary, and they are 100% commission based. They delayed the payroll after two pay period when I receives my first paycheck, and after my first paycheck. My salary was cut by half as they threat to fire me. (They hire assistants directly, not thought the company, which means they basically can do whatever they want without considering any company policies or senior management opinions, since Marcus policy doesn't apply to broker assists).

No benefits, no 401K, no insurance, no official vacation days at all. Culture is horrible, abusive languages were used from here to there. Unpaid overtime work is REQUIRED, which I mean they will get pretty mad at you, if you leave before 6:30 pm. I left only for better work place, actually it cannot be worse anywhere.

Don't take positions as broker assistants!!!

I worked at Marcus & Millichap full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have a good training program in which you learn how to underwrite commercial income properties. The company also teaches sales skills.

    Cons

They hire a great deal of agents and all the agents call the same prospects who get tired of the phone calls. The company has a high attrition rate.

    Advice to Management

Give the agents certain territories so the brand name isn't diluted. Pay more attention to existing agents than simply hiring more.
