Pros

The company, culture, and general atmosphere at MarketSource is nothing short of spectacular. It is a truly a home away from home. No micromanagement ensures adults are treated as such.

Advice to Management

Continue to keep the culture as it is today.

I worked at MarketSource part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I pretty much set my own schedule. Each week, I was given a list of assignments, and most of them only required that I get them done before the end of the week. There were longer assignments that had to be done on a specific day, but the majority of my hours were flexible. They were willing to work with my schedule, as a student, and I never had to choose between work or class.

    Cons

I had to drive a lot, and my gas wasn't compensated. If it was a slow week, I might have 1 assignment out in Canton (normally I had 2 or 3 out there), which meant that I spent half the money I'd earn on the gas to get there and back.
Training was pretty minimal, I was given a binder of largely unhelpful information and 3 days of in-store training. There was quite a bit of online stuff as well, but it was relatively poorly organized when I started, and didn't have much useful information about actually talking to customers or management. I picked it up fine, but it was very laissez-faire.
Not a lot of advancement opportunity, from what I saw. A few guys were really good and moved up, but most people I met had been doing the same thing for years with no raises or advancement.

My particular account, HP, is going through difficulties now and my exact position might not exist next year after the contract expires.
