No raises, hard to get promoted since they're not that many positions to move up to

    I have been working at MarketSource full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I am honestly having a hard time thinking of anything positive to say. I suppose working inside of a Target where it is warm in the winter and cool in the summer is a perk?

    Cons

    Imagine rolling-out a wireless program and giving your sales staff just few hours of watching video's as thier entire training. Then expecting them to sell and activate wireless phone service for the three major carriers! All the while not having the ability to contact any support services for questions/tech issues because of the inability of retail ops to handle the sheer volume of phone calls and issues.
    Many employees havn't been paid accurately or not at all.
    There has been little to no marketing.
    Carrier reps are pretty much non-existent and do not want you to bother them regarding issues.
    Commision structures are still a mystery a month in.
    Pay is rediculously low.
    Ops procedures change daily and even the DM's have no clue how to do simple procedures.
    Shedules are not submitted on time and require constant emails to get inputted so you can get hours worked accounted for.
    Most things HR related are either ignored, passed-on as someone else's responsibility, or require a HUGE effort to get resolved. Did I mention all corospondance is done via email and you CANNOT get thru via phone.
    Everything regarding retail ops is subbed-out to a different vendor.
    Associates/Managers spend countless hours resolving issues vs the abilty to make sales.
    What a collosal failure!!! The entire mgmt team in charge of this roll-out should be canned!

    Advice to Management

    Get a clue!

    Pros

    Friendly people and work independently

    Cons

    Depending who your manager is, trying to contact someone when you need certain information or need things taken care of. Not much room for advancement and not very flexible. No work/life balance.
