I worked at Marketing Innovators full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great co-workers, good benefits package

Cons

Managers have no insight into the potential of their workers. Company is behind the curve with the products and services offered to customers. Communication between departments is severely lacking and causes great amounts of friction in all situations. Company has been in a pay freeze for the past few years. Employees have already begun leaving for more stable (and profitable) jobs elsewhere. Company morale is at an all-time low.

Advice to Management

Company needs to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up. The services we offer pale in comparison to our competitors.

    I have been working at Marketing Innovators full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    50% of the team is interested in the success of the company

    Cons

    * No actual developed, ready to go products to offer to the market. Sales efforts are hindered by lackluster demo platforms that often error out during product demos.
    * Existing products are tired and dated and no effort is being made to update products or bring them current so there's no ability to remain relevant and competitive.
    * Product development has no real plan/direction and no one managing it. IT does what they want, how they want, and when they want. The resulting client dissatisfaction and complaints are ignored. The IT team does not keep current with skills and there is no training offered or required for them to do so.
    * Agile environment is not supported - there is not enough staff in IT for a true Agile environment.
    * Social media posts support employee engagement and team building but that's not the policy in the day-to-day life of the employee here.
    * Certain team members are allowed to negatively affect others by making belittling comments and behaving aggressively and unprofessionally - to the points where more than one person has left the company because of this behavior.

    Advice to Management

    * The CEO/President needs to take an active part in discovering and addressing the problems with the company. Decisive action needs to be taken. Managers who are not continually updating their processes, their own skills, and their teams' skills need to be removed and replaced.
    * The CEO/President needs to have frank, open discussions with clients about our services and performance. He can't rely on what he's being told by Client Services because the information he's being given is hiding the true facts.
