I have been working at Marriott International full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

In broad strokes, some of the best things about working with this company are, potential carerer growth in field, competitive benefits package, travel discounts, global footprint. You can travel, and work, almost anywhere in the world once you are a regular associate, with expenses like education, healthcare, money management, and various types of life assistance, shared by the company.

    Cons

Marriott has shown good growth potential, even in the economic down turn. While this is good news for investors, for employees it has meant adaptation to a numbers driven, stress and compress business model, which in some markets has lead to a 90 percent turnover rate. There also appears to be a disconnect between corportate growth solutions and product day-to-day operations

    Advice to Management

Be dilligent about sharing business goals with your team, and though you have a lot on your plate, stay interactive with all who walk the halls of your property
