I worked at Marriott International full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

I worked for Marriott International for 10+ years and enjoyed my time with this company. They have excellent hotel discounts, reduced meals for employees that work within a hotel, great opportunity to advance if you come in at an entry level position, and the opportunity to switch positions about every year to 18 months if you meet the qualifications for the position. Life at Marriott sometimes seems like one big family. You often run into former colleagues and many people work there for 10 plus years.

Cons

If you work in Hotel operations, you often work long hours and shift work. A hotel is open 24/7 and sometimes you may be required to work late in the early or early in the morning. You need to remain flexible.

The higher you go up in your career with Marriott there may be less opportunity at the top. Keep your options open and network.

Advice to Management

I can't think of anything right now. I enjoyed my time with the company.

    Pros

    Create and design foods, benefits,

    Cons

Raises not based on performance, you get a raise when everyone else gets a raise based on the going rate. Things get brushed under the rug, people have no drive to do the best they can.

    Advice to Management

Do more to make associates enjoy working there
