I have been working at Maxim Healthcare Services full-time (More than a year)

Pros

They allow you to find a good fit between nurse and family. If either side is unhappy the assignment is changed. You don't have to work in a situation you are unhappy with. Also, if there are other issues in the home and you need to report them. They will keep you out of it so the family never knows that you reported problems. You are never left in an unsafe or uncomfortable situation.

Cons

No raises unless you switch shifts or cases. Some cases pay more than others. Holidays aren't paid or paid as anything but straight time. Although the office staff is always very nice, there is no communication between the office staff. Messages either don't get passed on or you have to talk to several people. The right hand never knows what the left hand is doing. Not all offices are the same, but I worked for 2 and one of them was much worse than the current one I work for. I was ignored for weeks at a time and never had my questions answered.

Advice to Management

Communication is key, no matter what position you work. When there is poor communication between staff or clients, you are going to have a lot of unhappy people.
