Pros

Outside sales at least gives you the opportunity to work within the community and not in the toxic office of TSN.

Cons

No organization in the company. Lack of care or concern for employees. No recognition. No accountability for errors and mistakes. Poor compensation.

Manage.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Very positive atmosphere - we WILL beat the odds and all the naysayers for the newspaper business!

    Cons

Recent layoffs have had a demoralizing effect and increased workloads. Mandatory salary cuts and benefit decreases certainly don't help either.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking ahead and be proactive instead of reactive - but realize your best resource is your employees and treat and reward them as such. Loyalty is no longer a foregone conclusion from the employee when it is not reciprocated by the employer.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great people - its like a family, interesting technologies, plenty to learn, easy to ware many hats, ability to think independently and come up with out of the box solutions.

    Cons

Management is useless and tends to throw unnecessary road blocks in front of progress. No guidance on direction from senior management. You can can be the best and be layed off while other under performing employees remain for years.

    Advice to Management

embrace quick implementation of new technologies and trends. Reducing head count is hurting you at this point - try coming up with ways of creating larger profits rather than cutting people.
