      Great company to work for.

      Pros

This was a great company to work with to introduce me to inside sales. They provided support and any assistance needed. The office became a family.

      Cons

Unfortunately our office in Alpharetta closed. I worked at McGraw Hill longer than 5 years ago however it wouldn't let me submit if it was longer than 5 years. I just wanted to say this is one of the very best places that I have worked in sales.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. We appreciate your input about working on the sales team and are happy to hear you enjoyed working at McGraw Hill. Thank you for being a member of our team and best of luck in your future endeavors.

          Pros

Decent benefits, coworkers who try to help you navigate the institutional chaos.

          Cons

The job title I and so many others hold is Sr Academic Designer but of course they do not have a category for it. It is basically an editor. The systemic problem at MHE is CHAOS. The top -tier people have NO clue about what really goes on in the trenches; morale is below sea level. The middle mgrs are a disaster; they change their minds every day, communicate in cliches and jargon; "happy talk" means nothing when the wrong people are in charge and do not trust their sr people to do their jobs. The micromanagement is horrendous, and from one day to the next the directives change. Panic attacks among workers are common, and everyone is looking for a job. Also, being totally remote has corroded real collaboration and communication.

6 interview rounds and halfway through. How many times does someone have to answer “so tell me about yourself” does it take to get an offer. Beginning to become exhausting. Tips on remaining enthusiastic through multiple round interviews would be helpful.

Hey I am having an interview at Markel and would like to know what is the interview process over there? And if possible what kind of questions might they ask in a phone call interview.
