Approves of CEO

Pros

There is a lot of respect around the workplace here.

Cons

The salary isn't the best. The medical insurance used to be great now it is not that great but I suppose that is how most companies are getting.

Advice to Management

Leadership is doing an adequate job.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

If you are a poor performer you can blend in and others will carry you.

    Cons

Corporate culture. Human Resources at the local level is non existant. HR is nothing but recruiters and cant help you with any problems. They just tell you to call corporate and then wait for a response.

    Advice to Management

Take some of the CEO's $145 million realized pay from last year and dispense it amongst the best of the near 40000 workers in the company to keep them. The attrition at this company is horrible and I blame the corporate culture.

    Pros

If you are looking for a job where you can blend into the crowd and not be tasked with doing much of anything, this might be the company for you. Most employees really arn't expected to do much of anything here.

    Cons

-No interesting, challenging, or changing work.
-Pay is substantially below market (typically 10-20% below average for any given position).
-Raises are fixed at 2-3% per year, regardless of performance.
-Bonuses are fixed at 5%, regardless of performance and job grade, until you're in senior management.
-Health insurance here is extremely expensive and provides very little benefit.
-The company 401k only provides a limited match and has EXTREMELY BAD choices of funds, and there is a mountain of paperwork to get the self directed 401k. (Oh, and you can't move money from the standard 401k into the self directed 401k without having your account in one of the terrible default fund choices)

    Advice to Management

I believe that quite a bit of the workforce, from the admins through senior management could be thinned out. Many people spend a large portion of their days doing not very much work. Additionally, compensation for everyone else should be brought up to market level and benefits should be generally improved.
