I have been working at McKinsey & Company full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The training and development opportunities at McKinsey are incredible. The firm places a tremendous amount of time and resources to ensure new colleagues are set up for success and can help clients solve their toughest problems from day 1. You also have the opportunity to work on private and public sector clients' toughest challenges alongside truly incredible colleagues. In McKinsey Implementation we have the opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder with clients and help them realize the benefits of the proposed strategy. Having the end-to-end touch on the process is incredibly rewarding!

Cons

The pace of projects, the travel, and workload are not for everyone. The firm is doing a lot to promote a solid work-life balance, but you will need to make sure that the lifestyle will work for you.

Advice to Management

Continue to focus on opportunities to improve the work-life balance in terms of travel for impact and predictable schedules to retain talent.

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn a lot and really step up your professional game right out of school

    Cons

It can be difficult to have perspective on the value of your job in your life; why do you really want to work here? That's a question the Firm will never answer for you, and you can give away a lot if you take that for granted.
