I worked at McKinsey & Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They do a great job developing their people. If there's certain skills you'd like to work on, you can let it be known at the beginning of a study and the engagement manager will let you take over a workstream that will help you develop that skill. Also, even when it comes to leaving McKinsey, they're willing to help you out and not blackball you for studies or anything like that

    Cons

Some people find the job not particularly thought provoking, but I say this depends largely on what type of study you are on. Other people feel that consulting as a whole is another form of outsourced labor, and I would say that McKinsey is not immune from this trend (again, depending on what study you are on).
