Colleagues were great to work with and always willing to help.
Great client groups to support.
Fast paced, but fun environment.

Cons

Manager was more focused on her career than developing her team’s capabilities.
Salary freezes did not help employee morale and loyalty.
Compensation was not in-line with role responsibilities.

Advice to Management

Don't lose sight of what made MeadWestvaco, MeadWestvaco. Profit, ROI and strong liquid cash will only get you so far. The care of your employees should always be first priority.

    Decent salary and vacaton benefits.

    Managers don't manage people anymore, only manage tasks; you essentially do your own review; too many administrative duties assigned to the non-management employees taking away from problem solving time.

    Advice to Management

    Get back to basics; have managers manage people instead of tasks; reduce administrative tasks.
