I worked at MedAssets full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Excellent Industry, great business model

Cons

C Level leaders are incapable of trusting employees at any level to manage their jobs. They re-organize, just about the time people get a handle on their job. Quote from a Senior VP. If you don't like the new Re-organization, wait six months. Lack of concern for customers, they care more about making the books look good for investors then taking care of clients. Therefore they are loosing many clients to other companies. By acquiring new companies, they hide the loss of their previous revenue.

Advice to Management

Simplify processes for cost effectiveness, and allow people to keep the same job long enough to grow and gain knowledge before changing the policies and reorganizing once again.

    Pros

    PTO generous, telecommuting available, plenty of party events, dress code flexible.

    Cons

    New employee healthcare plan is horrible despite management's spin doctoring of it. Constantly changing org structure. Hard to advance - politics rules over merit on any new openings. Customers dropping like flies.

    Advice to Management

    Please stop asking management to post positive reviews here - it's glaringly obvious this is being done. The common worker bee employees will still continue to post the truth here regardless.

    I have been working at MedAssets full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Corporate has taken a number of positive steps to bring in experienced business operators across the company following the hiring of a COO a little over a year ago.
    You can't find a better balance of passion for company, people, country and charities.
    Health care is a growing market; there should be continuing opportunities for job growth and new hires.

    Cons

    Still a lot of grumbling from employees below the manager ranks, but it is hard to tell if the gripes are specific to MedAssets or just normal dissatisfaction with day-to-day work or specific co-workers or managers.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to do a better job of holding senior leaders and executives accountable for poor hiring and operating decisions.
