Pros

A great salary, in a great field.

Cons

A terrible work environment. If you don't agree with the owner, you're out of a job. Intimidation is a common factor. It's like working at "The Firm". He will hold your mortgage, your car note, tell you where to send your kids to school, who to vote for, what church to attend... When you finally have the courage to voice your own opinion, you're out of the company...

Advice to Management

Bring in some real professionals, and enjoy the money you're making. Whatever you do, don't try to run the company, because you're just ruining it.

    Pros

Great company atmosphere, pleasant coworkers, up to date training techniques.

    Cons

company needs to establish a better working relationship with its medical contractors. A quicker system to verify invoices and payment for services will alleviate negative complaints by MD's.

    Advice to Management

Survey your patient managers for positive and negative feedback.

    Pros

In a lot of ways, the company acts like it cares about its employees--personal loans, lunch catered, good salaries. It attempted to get the best talent, which provided a great working environment where one could really grow with all the knowledge and diversity. The work was really interesting, and on the surface, seemed revolutionary in the healthcare industry.

    Cons

Management thinks that its employees are naive. They think they can hide the company's stability. They play with the emotions and morale of their employees by having serveral layoffs in a short period of time, e.g. one per month. There is no really product direction. Management fails to see that without a direction, you do not have a company.

    Advice to Management

It seems a little late for this now, but clearly you need to stop focusing on your vanity and greed. Stop buying/leasing things that make no sense from a business standpoint, e.g. a Tesla Roadster, a huge building in the middle of nowhere, a model of the huge building and "additional" buildings that are going to be built in the future, etc. Communicate more with your employees. You really should be more honest and let them know what is going on with the company. I know you are trying to run a business, but you are putting lives at risk for your own personal gain. I do not think that with the people you have left, you need not worry about them leaving. Only the "crazys"--or those that are unable to find something else--are still there.
