Cons
Medisoft doesn't work to industry standards - and they seem to take a lot of risks. When developing a healthcare product this isn't appropriate. Medisoft store sensitive NHS data - but do not adhere to good practices in doing so, rather they have it on a server locked in a cupboard. They attempt an Agile approach but end up just working reactively 99% of the time. The company culture is very cliquey and macho - it is reminiscent of software development in it's early days. Work past your contracted hours and make a big song and dance about it, or be considered lazy. There is a bullying culture here emanating from a couple of the cliques. Very unpleasant and unhealthy to be on the receiving end of this. Their competent staff seem to have cleared out. This is not a place to work if you wish to learn how to effectively deliver software, to industry standards in either project management, business analysis, development or test.
