Disapproves of CEO

Pros

Good pay, low cost of living area. Still some great talent there, but most of the top talent has moved on.

Cons

Directionless executive leadership which makes things worse by not fostering intellectually honest discussion. Abysmal leadership among sr executives at the corporate headquarters in MN has not helped.

Advice to Management

Move in a strong leader who is not afraid of making decisions and who is able to put an end to a division that is run by numerous departments, namely compliance, legal and HR. Ultimately, Medtronic's solution will involve a breaking up of the company.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Medical benefit is very good. Nice cafeteria.

    Cons

Very poor management. VERY THICK politics. Inflated job title compare to outside. Incompetance with several departments. Favorism over knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Measure the outcome of the change objectively. Do not put people who failed previously in charge of a new project. Enhance the management to consider the need of business prior to consider for themselves. Promote people who can make-it-done, instead who can do the lip work.
