    Pros

Great company culture: Focus on the Medtronic Mission. Micro-managing does not happen and everyone is respected as an individual. Hence there is great trust and one feels like one is working for oneself rather than an oppressive manager. The managers and higher management are all extremely intelligent, accomplished and experienced people and are hence a treat to work for.

    Cons

Being a big company, it is sometimes hard to get innovative ideas to get accepted into product development. One has to go through some red-tape.

    Advice to Management

I think there is a need for there to be open discussion rooms where engineers and scientists can come together and play around with scientific topics, technology, algorithms. Often solutions for tough problems and innovative ideas come out of playful science related challenges and games.
