I worked at Meijer part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

You get paid weekly. Your paycheck is deposited on a debit card, which you can withdrawl for free at the customer service station or by a cashier.

Cons

The work is grueling, chaotic. There is no training, and the hourly quota for stocking has no correlation to the law of physics.

Advice to Management

Very hard to contact with management. It's hard to even get a manager on the phone, and if you do, the message you leave does not get passed down the chain of command.

I have been working at Meijer part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fellow Team Members and most of the Team Leaders are laid back while maintaining the certain level of work-place professionalism required of their respective positions.

    Cons

Moderately high turnover rate leaves store strained when it comes to cashiers, and also results in a limit to scheduling flexibility. Training is a potential cause, as it is a relatively short process and does not fully cover more specific aspects of some positions.

    Advice to Management

Better training programs with more days to learn your position hands-on with your Team Leader would most likely help to reduce turnover and work-place stress for new hires.

I have been working at Meijer part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Raises, awesome co-workers, paid breaks.

    Cons

Undereducated managers, disrespectful, too many tasks with very short hours, too many bosses that tell you to do many different things and they don't communicate with each other.

    Advice to Management

Treat other how you wanna be treated and find better managment and/or store directors.
