Negative Outlook
Approves of CEO
I worked at Melexis for less than a year
Pros
People are very friendly, everyone wants to help, overall feel is pleasant
Cons
HR function is antiquated and lacks sophistication. New hires are expected to learn on their own with no direction or training given. There is a HUGE disconnect with the way things are done in the US verse Belgium so for some it could be a big issue. Pay is sub-par for the area but the role was over exaggerated to begin with.
Advice to Management
Don't hire higher level staff when all you want is old school low level person. Anyone with skills and knowledge would approach the HR function with drive and look at the whole picture and not narrow focus, and strive for partnerships at all levels by knowing the business not just the function. Segregation of staff due to function does not make a company it makes a bunch of sub cultures that do their own thing.
