I have been working at Memorial Sloan Kettering full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great benefits, great coworkers, good facilities. Tuition reimbursement, great vacation accrual, ability to move internally. The best part about working at Memorial Sloan Kettering is that you are contributing to a greater good. Although it is stressful at times - at the end of the day, I felt that my work was truly meaningful. There are great people that work here and are very supportive. It varies by department, but overall I've had a positive experience here. Working on the patient side of things is stressful but rewarding.

Cons

It depends on department. POAs are often in extremely stressful situations and do not get paid nearly as much as they should. They also don't have a clear career ladder and managers should assist in finding and promoting growth within MSK. Department can lack organization or support which is also an issue, specifically the research side.

Advice to Management

Pay POAs more, and provide better support to grow internally in what you want to do. More organization in research.

I have been working at Memorial Sloan Kettering full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, professional environment, opportunity for growth if you work extremely hard and ALWAYS go above and beyond.

    Cons

Not enough money spent on accommodating the staff such as: better office space for those who see patients. Favoritism towards some staff.
Not being able to get paid for the unused sick days. I am personally given 2-3 weeks worth of sick days a year, but if you call sick 6 times during the year, you are not seen as a reliable employee.

    Advice to Management

Listen to some of the staff's ideas.
