I worked at Men's Wearhouse full-time (More than a year)

Pros

They overstaff the stores so you don't really have to work hard.

Cons

Managers are turned over twice per year. They talk a good game about caring for their employees but at the end of the day they are only out to do the same things other retailers do. Tux Rentals are the worst. It's half of your day and you make NOTHING off of it. Middle management cannot and should not be trusted. Managers dating subordintes, VP hitting on part timers. Pathetic.

Advice to Management

Stop with the hippie, feel good rhetoric. You're a business. Act like one.

I have been working at Men's Wearhouse full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Potential to earn great commissions. Has great benefits, and awesome training programs. Interactive Sales environment and great training. No experience needed, but it is extremely helpful if you have sales experience. The have many corporate sponsored lunches and events, and at the end of the year they through an outrageous HolidayParty.

    Cons

It is a retail store and therefore you have tough hours sometimes you have to work open to close i.e.9am-9pm, and you have to work weekends Saturdays are a must. Sometimes there are weeks with low commissions because of a less demand in the summer (June, July, August)

    Advice to Management

Great job. Best Retail environment in the business.

    I worked at Men's Wearhouse full-time

    Pros

Laid back environment, promote from within, yearly company trips

    Cons

little room for moving up, males that were chummy with the district managers were the only ones I ever saw promoted, a lot of inter company gossip and scandal, there's a lack of maturity, their idea of playing hard is inappropriate for a work environment

    Advice to Management

If you want he best talent, you have to be willing to pay them. Stop trying to be cool and recognize the real needs of the company.
