Pros

They were flexible with my schedule. I was only part time though.

Cons

Hard work, but it's a retail store with lots of big items.

Advice to Management

More oversight in training until trainee has learned the ropes.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

    Flexible with part timers
    Okay pay
Better than most other places I have worked at
Like that management takes an interest in your work and performance

    Cons

    Have to move to promote
Managers don't get paid a whole lot
Don't feel like promotions are based on qualifications just who you know

    Advice to Management

Talk to your employees and find out what you need to do, they are the ones that interact with the customers. There is always room for improvement

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

If willing to relocate, one may advance within the company. However, do not expect to be granted the opportunity to give your opinion on where you wish to relocate; your two options - relocate or termination.

    Cons

As stated in the Headline, expect your daily life to obey the motto of "Menards is your Life". Upper management members do not understand, nor do they wish to understand, the boundaries of work and personal life. All-in-all, upper management members do not care about their employees and their families.

    Advice to Management

Step down from your pedestal every-once-in-awhile, and consider your employees and their families before making decisions that could ultimately destroy their lives and/or family.
