I have been working at Menards full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Have great oppertunities to move up into management. Flexible for students. In-Home training to learn about everything in the store.

Cons

Stressful for families. A lot of hours for Managers with no exceptions without a doctors note. Not many cons about Menards.

Advice to Management

Learn how to teach people in different ways. Everybody learns differently

    Pros

    ability to work as a lot of hours and make overtime also IPS every year

    Cons

    Its retail so you work a lot of hours and every holiday. You make money not through weekly check but to through bonuses.

    I worked at Menards part-time

    Pros

    $2.50 more an hour on weekends.
    Can request days off easily.

    Cons

    It's retail.
    Eventually becomes a boring job.
    Not much more pay for being a manager, especially when starting off.
    Potentially long hours as a manager.

    Advice to Management

    I feel bad for you guys! Management seems to age horribly.
