I worked at Menards full-time (More than a year)

Pros

It is a job. If you buy in, there are opportunities for advancement.

Cons

High turnover and poorly paid team members. Lazy or ill-equipped supervisors. Non-union.

Advice to Management

Drop the requirement of an undergrad degree to become a manager. There were plenty of capable people working there but have no chance of career advancement for lack of a degree.

I have been working at Menards part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Spifs on paychecks, 15% Pizza Ranch Card, extra $2.50 on weekends.

    Cons

Rude managers, wanna be managers, people who are pets of managers who don't think they have to work, lazy managers, not enough staff to help out or if there is some of them don't wanna help. No chance for advancement unless you are buddies with the higher ups or relatives. Cut hours not enough hours in work week.

    Advice to Management

Advance people who actually show up and don't call in and quit hiring more people off the street if you are not making payroll as you call it.

    I worked at Menards full-time

    Pros

Menards is a place that you can be successful as long as you have no life outside of work

    Cons

Ridiculous expectations, time off is not easy to get, work weekends

    Advice to Management

Change the way you treat your employees or you will lose all your talent to better companies.
