I worked at Menards part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good pay, great people, and they worked around schedule conflicts that came up as a full time college student. Plus they offer many opportunities to advance within the company if you're willing to move. Great learning experience that can be applied to many normal household problems that everyone has to deal with at some point in their life.

Cons

Hours often ran long at night on weekends when sales tags were being swapped out. Can be overwhelming at first as the amount of information to absorb and product locations to memorize are vast.

I worked at Menards full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

work with fun people. good for a person who is into do it yourself work around the house. semi-flexible hours. the longer you stay the better the profit sharing benefits.

    Cons

poor pay. no encouragement for climbing the ladder. management does not get paid much more than regular full time employees. in order to have time off you need to find a sub for your shift

    Advice to Management

pay your employees better and they will want to stay and work harder
